Booking Conditions
These Terms and Conditions apply to all vehicle rental bookings made through www.carrentia.com or directly at any Carrentia branch. By completing a booking or taking delivery of a vehicle, the Renter is deemed to have read and accepted all of these Terms in their entirety.
- Pre-Pay Online Bookings: The credit card used to place the advance deposit must be registered in the name of the person making the booking only.
- The person collecting the vehicle is not required to be the same individual who made the advance payment; however, a credit card in the Renter's own name must be presented for the security deposit hold at the time of vehicle collection.
- Security deposit pre-authorisation hold via credit card is required on the day of vehicle collection.
- If the Renter is unable to present a valid credit card, Carrentia reserves the right to refuse delivery of the vehicle without any refund for bookings already paid in advance.
- Unlimited mileage is included unless otherwise specified in the booking confirmation.
- The 'Total' amount displayed does not include optional add-on services selected at the branch, or charges incurred during the rental period, such as damage costs, fuel charges, grace period fees, or traffic fines.
- Vehicle models displayed on the website are for illustrative purposes only. Specific models within each category may vary in availability, seating capacity, luggage capacity, and features.
- These Terms and Conditions are subject to change without prior notice. The version in force at the time the booking confirmation is issued shall apply to the Renter's rental.
Driver Eligibility Requirements
- Minimum Age: The primary Renter must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age on the rental commencement date.
- Driving Licence: All drivers must hold a valid, unexpired driving licence for the duration of the rental period.
- Foreign Nationals: Must present a valid International Driving Permit (IDP) issued under a convention to which Thailand is a party, or a valid Thai driving licence.
- Only authorised drivers whose names are specified in the Rental Agreement may operate the vehicle. Should the Renter permit an unauthorised person to drive the vehicle, the Renter shall bear full liability for all damage or loss arising therefrom.
Required Documentation
The following documents must be presented on the day of vehicle collection. All documents must be current and valid:
- Confirmed booking confirmation.
- A valid credit card in the Renter's name (for payment and security deposit purposes).
- A valid passport (foreign nationals) or national identification card (Thai nationals).
- A valid International Driving Permit (foreign nationals) or Thai driving licence (Thai nationals).
Pre-Paid Booking Terms
- Non-Refundable: Carrentia Thailand shall not provide a refund in the event of cancellation within forty-eight (48) hours prior to the scheduled vehicle collection time.
- In the event of early return, no rental charge refund shall be made (refer to the Early Return section for rentals governed by the OCPB Contract Committee Announcement).
Rental Period, Extension, and Grace Period
- Minimum Rental Period: Twenty-four (24) hours.
- Grace Period: Three (3) hours for vehicle return.
- Return between 3 and 6 hours late: A late return penalty equivalent to half (0.5) of the daily rental rate shall apply.
- Return more than 6 hours late: A late return penalty equivalent to one (1) full daily rental rate shall apply.
- Rental Extension: Must be notified to Carrentia at least two (2) days in advance; charged at the prevailing walk-in counter rate.
- Same-day extension requests are subject to vehicle availability and the prevailing walk-in counter rate.
Vehicle Delivery and Return
The rental commencement and end dates, times, and designated delivery and return locations are specified in the Renter's Rental Agreement. Carrentia is obligated to deliver the vehicle on time at the agreed location, and the Renter is obligated to return the vehicle on time at the agreed location.
- Vehicle collection or return outside of business hours: A service charge of THB 500 per trip applies (inclusive of 7% VAT = THB 535).
- One-Way Rental (return to a different branch): A one-way fee is applicable.
- One credit card may be used for one (1) security deposit, for one (1) booking, and for one (1) Renter name only.
- Upon vehicle return, Carrentia shall conduct an immediate inspection in the Renter's presence and process the security deposit refund accordingly. The Renter is advised to photograph the vehicle's exterior and interior both prior to collection and upon return.
Insurance and Coverage
Carrentia provides mandatory insurance for all rental vehicles in accordance with Thai law, comprising: Compulsory Motor Vehicle Accident Victims Protection Insurance (Por Ror Bor) and additional insurance as required by the Department of Land Transport for service rental vehicles.

Additional coverage options are available for purchase at the Carrentia counter on the day of vehicle collection.
Fuel and Energy
All Carrentia vehicles are delivered with a full tank of fuel (or a fully charged battery for electric vehicles) and must be returned in the same condition:

If the vehicle is returned with a fuel or energy level below the required standard, a refuelling/recharging service fee of THB 500 shall be charged, plus the actual cost of fuel or electricity required to restore the vehicle to the required level, supported by proof of expenditure.
Security Deposit Refund
- No Damage: Full refund on the same day of vehicle return (Cash / Bank Transfer / Cheque), or within forty-five (45) days for refund via credit card.
- Damage: Carrentia shall record all damage at the time of vehicle return and deduct only the actual, auditable repair costs supported by documentary evidence. The residual deposit shall be refunded within the same timeframes.
- Any objection or dispute regarding damage may only be raised at the time of vehicle return.
Replacement Vehicle
In the event that the rental vehicle becomes inoperable due to an accident or maintenance requirement for a period exceeding one (1) day, Carrentia shall arrange a substitute vehicle of the same or comparable category at no additional charge, until the original vehicle has been repaired and restored to normal service. This obligation shall not apply where the vehicle becomes inoperable as a direct consequence of the Renter's unlawful conduct.
Permitted Use and Prohibited Activities
The rental vehicle is authorised for private use within the Kingdom of Thailand only, unless otherwise agreed in writing. The following activities are strictly prohibited:
- Subletting, lending, or transferring rights to the vehicle to any third party without prior written consent from Carrentia.
- Taking the vehicle outside the Kingdom of Thailand.
- Using the vehicle in connection with any act that is unlawful under Thai law or international law.
- Driving the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, narcotics, or intoxicants, or while the blood alcohol concentration exceeds the legal limit. The Renter shall bear full liability for all resulting damage or loss.
- Entering the vehicle in any race or speed contest of any nature, whether sanctioned or otherwise.
- Using the vehicle to tow or push any other vehicle, vessel, or object.
- Carrying passengers in excess of the number specified in the vehicle registration.
- Loading, transporting, or storing hazardous materials, explosives, or any illegal substances.
- Driving the vehicle on sand, beaches, or muddy terrain that may cause the vehicle to become stuck or damaged.
- Exceeding the maximum load capacity of the vehicle.
- Using M-Flow express lane channels without authorisation (refer to the Additional Charges section for details).
- Smoking, or bringing durian, strong-smelling food, or any animal (including pets) into the vehicle: a cleaning penalty of THB 10,000 shall be levied upon evidence of such occurrence.
- Leaving the vehicle with the engine running unattended, or leaving keys inside the vehicle. The Renter must lock all windows, doors, bonnet, boot, and fuel/charging port whenever vacating the vehicle.
Additional Charges
The following charges are payable immediately upon notification by Carrentia:

All charges are accompanied by verifiable receipts or supporting documentation. Carrentia shall levy only actual, reasonable, and necessary charges.
Early Return
In the event the Renter wishes to return the vehicle prior to the agreed end date (for reasons not attributable to Carrentia), the following advance notice requirements shall apply:
- Daily Rental: Notify Carrentia at least twenty-four (24) hours in advance.
- Monthly or Annual Rental: Notify Carrentia at least thirty (30) days in advance.
For rentals governed by the OCPB Contract Committee Announcement B.E. 2568, the relevant provisions of that Announcement shall apply.
Government Fines and Legal Compliance
In the event that the rental vehicle is operated in a manner that contravenes the law, causing Carrentia to incur fines or penalties imposed by a government authority as a result of the Renter's conduct during the period of possession, Carrentia shall be entitled to recover from the Renter only the actual, reasonable, and necessary costs actually incurred, supported by auditable documentary evidence.
Personal Data and Privacy (PDPA)
Carrentia collects and processes the Renter's personal data, including full name, national identification number / passport number, address, telephone number, email address, and copies of identification documents, solely for the purposes of entering into and performing the Rental Agreement. This is in compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (2019) (PDPA). Data shall be disclosed only to third parties directly involved in the rental and retained only for the duration of the contract and as required by Thai law.
- Rental vehicles are equipped with audio-visual recording devices and GPS tracking systems. By accepting delivery of the vehicle, the Renter consents to Carrentia monitoring and collecting data from such systems throughout the rental period.

Governing Law
- These Terms and Conditions, and all Rental Agreements concluded through www.carrentia.com, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand. Any dispute arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent Thai court as prescribed by law.
- These Terms are compliant with the OCPB Contract Committee Announcement B.E. 2568 governing controlled contracts for vehicle rental businesses. In the event of any conflict between these Terms and the standard form contract (Form Kor), the provision more favourable to the consumer shall prevail.
- The Renter confirms having read and acknowledged all Terms and Conditions for this booking.
